Easter baskets do not have to be full of chocolate and looks. Here are some good ideas that will have to fill your Easter basket without all the extra fat and sugar.
Bubbles
What child does not love to blow bubbles? Grab a few bottles of bubbles basket for Easter this year. The children will have a blast with them and with luck, it was outside, warm enough to tell them too busy running around chasing bubbles for quite some time.
Sidewalk Chalk
Another funtreat is sidewalk chalk. This is the perfect time to draw on the sidewalk with the weather warming up too. Plus we get enough rain in the spring that your driveway or sidewalk is decorated not too long.
Homemade Playdough
Do something with your favorite homemade clay playdough recipe (we have one of kinderinfo.com). Get a couple of small playdough toys to go with her and have the fun begins.
Toys from the Dollar Store
You can also use a couple of very inexpensiveTo store toys for the dollar. I have found nothing of Easter theme coloring books to kites there. This is also a great place to order for the Easter baskets themselves, as well as some hidden plastic Easter eggs that are treated for small jewelry pieces and are great.
Of course, every child should could have some special treats in the Easter basket. Along with the obligatory chocolate bunny, include some healthier treats.
Chocolate and yogurt covered raisins
BothChocolate and yogurt covered raisins look like little Easter eggs to treat and delicious. Fill a small cellophane bag with these sweet treats and tie a pretty bow around it.
Trail Mix with Jellybeans
Mix some low sugar cereal like Chex cereal, or with some small pretzels, peanuts, raisins, and some jellybeans for an Easter inspired Trail Mix. You do not feel bad about your child fills on this topic. Pour your trail mix in a small bag, or fill some large plastic EasterEggs with the mix.
